Make your arrival in New Zealand a smoother experience with the NZTD app. Developed by MBIE, this free Android app allows you to fill out your New Zealand Traveller Declaration (NZTD) before you even arrive. By submitting your declaration up to 24 hours before your trip, you can save time and streamline your entry process.

The NZTD app is designed to be user-friendly and efficient. It takes approximately 10 minutes to complete the declaration, and all questions are in English. You can update your information at any time until you reach the New Zealand border.

When filling out your NZTD, you will need to provide your passport, contact, and flight details. Additionally, you will need to provide information about your immigration status, recent travel history, and any items you are bringing into New Zealand.

The NZTD app offers several convenient features. You can scan your passport to automatically add your passport details, making the process even faster. The app also allows you to add and complete multiple declarations, making it easy to manage declarations for your entire family. Offline mode is available, allowing you to enter information while flying or when you're out of WiFi or data range. However, you will need to be online to start or submit a declaration.

Once you have submitted your NZTD, there is no need to print anything or show a QR code. Your NZTD will automatically appear when your passport is scanned at the border, ensuring a seamless entry into New Zealand.
